Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 55498 Size: SH
  1. Remove the upper intake manifold cover if necessary.
  2. Remove the fuel tank filler cap.
  3. Open the air bleed valve on top of the fuel manager/filter to release any pressure in the fuel supply system.

    4. Object Number: 55513 Size: SH
  4. Remove the mounting bolts that connect the fuel manager/filter to the intake manifold.

    5. Object Number: 55514 Size: SH
  5. Remove the wiring harnesses and fuel hoses.
  6. Remove the fuel manager/filter by lifting straight up.

    7. Object Number: 55494 Size: SH
  7. Remove the fuel heater threaded cap nut by using hand pressure or a strap wrench.
  8. Remove the fuel heater from the filter housing.
  9. Clean the fuel heater to housing sealing surfaces.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 55494 Size: SH
  1. Install the cap seal into filter housing.

    2. Object Number: 73422 Size: SH
  2. Install the fuel heater.
  3. Install the threaded cap nut.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the cap nut securely by hand.

  5. Install the mounting bolts that connect the fuel manager/filter to the intake manifold.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the mounting bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb. ft.)
