  1. Remove the torque converter from the input shaft.
  2. Remove three bolts and the left transaxle mounting bracket (2) from the top of the transaxle case (1).
  3. Remove two bolts and the front transaxle mount from the torque converter housing.
  4. Remove two bolts and the rear transaxle mount from the torque converter housing.
  5. Remove two bolts and the shift select cable bracket from the transaxle case.

  6. Remove two bolts and the left drive axle shield from the transaxle case (1).
  7. Loosen the inlet and outlet fluid cooler pipe fittings at the transaxle case.
  8. Remove the following components from the transaxle case:
    9. • One bolt
    • The fluid cooler pipe bracket
    • The inlet fluid cooler pipe
    • The outlet fluid cooler pipe
  9. Remove one bolt and the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) from the torque converter housing.
  10. Remove the fluid level indicator from the fluid filler tube.
  11. Remove one bolt and the fluid filler tube from the transaxle case.

  12. Remove the following components from the manual shaft (1):
    13. • One nut
    • One washer
    • The manual lever (2)
  13. Unstake the lock plate behind the manual shaft nut.
  14. Remove the manual shaft nut and lock plate from the park/neutral (PNP) switch (3).
  15. Remove the two bolts and the PNP switch from the manual shaft.

  16. Remove the two fluid cooler pipe unions (1) and O-rings (2) from the transaxle case.
