Tools Required

1. Remove the following components from the transaxle case:

•

Two bolts

•	The parking lock guide plate (2)

•	The parking lock return spring (1)




2. Remove the following components from the transaxle case:

•	The parking lock pawl bolt (1)

•	The parking lock pawl retainer (2)




3. Remove the following components from the transaxle case:

•	The parking lock pawl shaft (1)

•	The parking lock pawl (2)




4. Remove the parking lock rod guide (1) from the transaxle case.



5. Remove the parking lock rod sleeve (1) from the transaxle case.



6. Remove one bolt and the front fluid baffle (1) from the transaxle case (2).



7. Remove the following components from the transaxle case:

•	Three bolts (2)

•	Six Torx® head screws

•	The gallery cover (1)

•	The gallery cover gasket




8. Remove the following components from the transaxle case:

•	The B4 accumulator piston (2)

•	The B4 accumulator spring (1)

9. Remove 1 seal from the B4 accumulator piston.



10. Remove the 1 bolt and the rear fluid baffle (1) from the transaxle case (2).



11. Use a J 26941 with a J 2619-01 in order to remove the following components from the transaxle case:

•	The countershaft rear roller bearing (1)

•	The left drive axle shaft fluid seal




12. Use a J 26941 with a J 2619-01 in order to remove the following components from the transaxle case:

•	The left differential side bearing race (2)

•	The left differential selective shim (1)

13. Clean the sealant from the transaxle case-to-torque converter housing mating surfaces.
