Tools Required

    • J 36850 Transjel® Transmission Assembly Lubricant
    • J 23327-1 Clutch Spring Compressor
    • J 35683 First and Reverse Brake Piston Compressor
  1. Apply J 36850 to the new 1st-reverse brake piston seals (2) .

    2. Object Number: 165850 Size: SH
  2. Install the 1st-reverse brake piston (1) into the transaxle case with the cup facing upward.

    3. Object Number: 165853 Size: SH
  3. Install the 1st-reverse brake piston return spring (2) into the transaxle case.

    4. Object Number: 164457 Size: SH
  4. Install the J 23327-1 with a J 35683 and compress the 1st-reverse brake piston return spring until you can install the 1st-reverse brake piston return spring snap ring (1).
  5. Install the 1st-reverse brake piston return spring snap ring into the transaxle case.
  6. Remove the J 23327-1 and theJ 35683 from the transaxle case.
