Cruise Release Switch Adjustment Model

  1. Ensure that the cruise control release switch is fully seated in the bracket.
  2. Slowly pull the brake pedal rearward until the audible clicking is no longer heard.
  3. The switch will be moved in the retainer providing adjustment.

  4. Release the brake pedal.
  5. Ensure that the following contacts open at XX mm (XX in) or less of brake pedal travel:
  6. 4.1. The cruise control release switch
    4.2. The stoplamp and torque converter clutch (TCC) switch
  7. Ensure that the switches open simultaneously.
  8. The brake pedal may travel up to XX mm (XX in) before the cruise control system disengages.
