Removal Procedure
The body side blackout transfers will require removal of all windows
in the area of the transfer. The forward transfers will require the removal
of the front body side windows. The rearward transfers will require
the removal of the front and the rear body side windows.
- Remove the interior trim,
as needed, in order to ease window removal.
- Remove the swing-out and/or stationary window(s). Refer to the
appropriate procedure in Stationary Windows:

- Remove the body side swing-out window weather-strip, if equipped.

Important: Apply all transfers in a clean environment where dust or fibers will
not interfere with proper adhesion.
- Use a J 25070 or other suitable tool in order to heat the transfer and
slowly peel the transfer from the body.
Installation Procedure
- Clean the area where the transfer will be mounted.
Use a suitable solvent such as a mixture of 50 percent isopropyl
alcohol and 50 percent water.
- Dry the area thoroughly.
Important: If paint in the area is chipped or gouged, repaint the area. Otherwise,
the surface imperfection will be visible through the blackout transfer.
- Position the transfer to the body.
- Use a wax pencil in order to mark the upper and the lower locations
of the transfer on the body.
- Starting at the top of
the transfer, peel the backing paper from a workable section of the transfer
and begin applying the transfer to the body.
Continue the application in small, workable sections until finished.
Important: Use care in order not to stretch the transfer during application.
- Use a small roller or other suitable tool in order to gently press the
transfer to the body in order to ensure proper adhesion.
- Verify that there are no air bubbles visible on the transfer.
If there are air bubbles, use a small pin in order to help eliminate
the air bubbles.
- Install the body side swing-out window weather-strip, if equipped.

- Install the swing-out and/or stationary window(s). Refer to the
appropriate procedure in Stationary Windows:

- Install the interior trim, as needed.
