Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement Model

Tools Required

J-0000 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement in Body Rear End.

  4. Object Number: 317368  Size: SH
  5. Remove the bolts from the rear bumper fascia.
  6. Remove the push-in retainers from the splash shield.
  7. Remove the license lamp. Refer to License Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
  8. Remove the push-in retainers from the rear bumper fascia using special tool J-0000.
  9. Remove the bolts from the rear bumper fascia.
  10. Remove the rear push-in retainers from the rear bumper fascia to the rear end panel using special tool J-0000.
  11. Remove the rear bumper fascia from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 317368  Size: SH
  1. Align the rear bumper fascia to the vehicle.
  2. Install the push-in retainers to the rear bumper fascia at the rear end panel.
  3. Install the push-in retainers to the rear bumper fascia at the rear bumper impact bar.
  4. Install the bolts to the rear bumper fascia at the rear end panel.
  5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to the rear bumper fascia at rear end panel to XX N·m (XX lb in).

  6. Install the license lamp. Refer to License Lamp Replacment in Lighting Systems.
  7. Install the push-in retainers to the rear bumper fascia at the splash shield.
  8. Install the bolts to the rear bumper fascia at the body.
  9. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to the rear bumper fascia at rear end panel to XX N·m (XX lb in).

  10. Install the rear compartment trim panels. Refer to Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacment in Body Rear End.
  11. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  12. Remove supports and lower the vehicle.
  13. Remove any protective tape that may have been applied during the removal procedure.
