Removal Procedure
  1. Open the rear compartment lid.

    2. Object Number: 324477 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector at the rear compartment lid lock cylinder.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the release actuator.
  4. Remove the fasteners .
  5. Remove the actuator from the latch.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 324477 Size: SH
  1. Install the actuator into the latch.
  2. Install the fasteners.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the actuator fasteners in order to secure the actuator to the latch.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the actuator fasteners to 3 N·m (26 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connector to the key cylinder.
  5. Connect the electrical connector to the actuator.
  6. Close the rear compartment.
