Makes 🢒 Generic 🢒 2001 🢒 Unit Repair 🢒 Body and Accessories 🢒 Body Rear End 🢒 Liftgate Wiring Harness Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Engine Electrical.
  2. Open the liftgate.
  3. Remove the liftgate trim panel. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the water deflector. Refer to [ADD LINK].
  5. Remove the rear speakers from the liftgate. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Entertainment.
  6. Remove the high mounted stop lamp. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Lighting Systems.
  7. Remove the license plate lamps. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Lighting Systems.
  8. Disconnect the liftgate latch electrical connectors.
  9. Remove the rear washer hose. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Wipers Washer Systems.
  10. Remove the rear corner upper garnish moldings. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Interior Trim.

    11. Object Number: 313629 Size: LH
  11. Disconnect the liftgate wiring harness connectors (2) from the rear body wiring harness (3).

    12. Object Number: 313631 Size: SH
  12. Disconnect the rear wiper motor electrical connector (7).
  13. Disconnect the rear window defogger electrical connectors (3).
  14. Unsnap the wiring harness retainers from the liftgate.
  15. Remove the wiring harness from the liftgate.

Installation Procedure
  1. Route the wiring harness in the liftgate.
  2. Snap the wiring harness retainers into the liftgate.

    3. Object Number: 313631 Size: SH
  3. Connect the rear window defogger electrical connectors (3)
  4. Connect the rear wiper motor electrical connector (7).

    5. Object Number: 313629 Size: LH
  5. Connect the liftgate wiring harness connectors (2) to the rear body wiring harness (3).
  6. Install the rear corner upper garnish moldings. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Interior Trim.
  7. Install the rear washer hose. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Wipers Washer Systems.
  8. Connect the liftgate latch electrical connectors
  9. Install the license plate lamps. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Lighting Systems
  10. Install the high mounted stop lamp. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Lighting Systems.
  11. Install the rear speakers to the liftgate. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Entertainment.
  12. Install the water deflector. Refer to [ADD LINK].
  13. Install the liftgate trim panel. Refer to [ADD LINK].
  14. Close the liftgate.
  15. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to [ADD LINK] in Engine Electrical.
