Removal Procedure
- Open the rear compartment lid.
- Remove the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to [ADD LINK].
- Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the rear compartment lid latch.
- Remove the latch release cable (3) from the rear compartment lid lock cylinder (4). [IF EQUIPPED]
- Remove the fasteners (1) securing the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).
- Remove the rear compartment lid latch (2) from the rear compartment lid (5).
Installation Procedure
- Install the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).
- Install the fasteners (1) in order to secure the rear compartment lid latch (2) to the rear compartment lid (5).
- Install the latch release cable (3) to the rear compartment lid lock cylinder (4).
- Connect the electrical connector (1) to the rear compartment lid latch (2). [IF EQUIPPED]
- Install the rear compartment lid trim panel. Refer to [ADD LINK].
- Close the rear compartment lid.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners (1) to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
