Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 392983 Size: SH
  1. Remove the endgate cover. Refer to [ADD LINK].
  2. Mark the location of the endgate window latch in order to ensure proper alignment at installation.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connectors [VEHICLE SPECIFIC].
  4. Remove the fasteners that secure the endgate window latch to the endgate window latch support.
  5. Remove the endgate window latch from the endgate.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 392983 Size: SH
  1. Install the endgate window latch ensuring that the latch is properly aligned with the marks made during disassembly.

    2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  2. Install the fasteners in order to secure the endgate window latch to the endgate window latch support.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (88 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connectors [VEHICLE SPECIFIC].
  4. Install the endgate cover. Refer to [ADD LINK].
