Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear window trim panel. Refer to
Rear Window Trim Panel Replacement
in Body Rear End.
- Remove the amplifier bracket
screws from the rear parcel shelf.
- Open the rear compartment lid.
- Disengage the locator tabs (1, 2) on the amplifier
bracket from the rear parcel shelf.
- Lower the amplifier bracket (7)
from the rear parcel shelf.
- Remove the screws (3) from the radio signal processor module (5).
- Remove the radio signal processor module (5) from the amplifier
bracket (7).
- Disconnect the two wiring harness connectors (4) from the
radio signal processor module (5).
Installation Procedure
- Connect the two wiring
harness connectors (4) to the radio signal processor module (5).
- Install the radio signal processor module (5) into the
amplifier bracket (7).
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws (3) to the processor module (5).
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2.5 N·m (22 lb in).
- Install the amplifier
bracket to the rear parcel shelf engaging the locator tabs (1, 2).
- Install the amplifier bracket screws to the rear parcel shelf.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N·m (18 lb in).
- Install the trim panel that covers the rear seat to the rear window.

- Close the rear compartment lid.
