Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1465748 Size: SH
  1. Open the rear compartment.
  2. Remove the rear lid spoiler, if necessary. Refer to Rear Spoiler Replacement .
  3. Remove the rear lock cylinder, if necessary. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  4. Remove the overslam bumpers, if necessary. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Overslam Bumper Replacement .
  5. Remove the latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .
  6. Disconnect the rear compartment wiring harness from the body harness.
  7. Remove the rear compartment lid-to-hinge attachment bolts.
  8. With an assistant, remove the rear compartment lid.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1465757 Size: SH
  1. With an assistant, install the rear compartment lid.
  2. With an assistant, align the rear compartment lid to the hinges.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the bolts that attach the rear compartment lid to the hinges.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Adjust the compartment lid as necessary. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment .
  5. Connect the rear compartment wiring harness to the body harness.
  6. Install the spoiler, if necessary. Refer to Rear Spoiler Replacement .
  7. Install the lock cylinder. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder Replacement .
  8. Install the overslam bumpers, if necessary. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Overslam Bumper Replacement .
  9. Install the latch. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Latch Replacement .
  10. Close the rear compartment lid.
