Removal Procedure
  1. Position the window to the full down position.

    2. Notice: To avoid paint damage, protect the area surrounding the part which you are removing or installing.

  2. Apply masking tape to the door frame applique/run channel.
  3. Remove the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .

  4. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Front Channel Replacement .
  5. Pull the stationary window weatherstrip from the applique channel to access the rivets (2).
  6. Remove the screws (1) from the inside of the door window frame.

    7. Caution: Refer to Eye Protection Caution in the Preface section.

  7. Lower the window channel weatherstrip by grasping the center and pulling downward to expose the rivets.

    8. Drill out the 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (2) along the upper inside edge of the window run channel.

  8. Remove the applique (3) from the door.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1564036 Size: SH
  1. Install the applique (3) to the door.
  2. Install the new 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (2) along the upper inside edge of the window channel.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the screws (1) to the inside of the door window frame.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the stationary window weatherstrip to the applique channel. Ensure that the weatherstrip is fully seated into the window channel and applique.
  5. Install the outer belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Window Belt Outer Sealing Strip Replacement .
  6. Inspect the window for proper operation.
  7. Remove the masking tape from the applique/run channel.
