Windshield wiper blades should be inspected for wear or cracking. See Scheduled Maintenancefor more information on wiper blade inspection.

Replacement blades come in different types and are removed in different ways. Here is how to remove the wiper blade:

  1. Pull the windshield wiper arm connector away from the windshield.

  2. Object Number: 1370498  Size: B2
  3. Squeeze the grooved areas on each side of the blade and turn the blade assembly away from the arm connector.

  4. Object Number: 1370499  Size: B2
  5. Install the new blade onto the arm connector and make sure the grooved areas are fully set in the locked position.

  1. Lift the wiper arm and turn the blade until is facing away from the windshield.

  2. Object Number: 808713  Size: B3
  3. Push the release lever under the windshield wiper arm, and slide the wiper assembly off of the wiper arm.
  4. Slide the new wiper blade securely on the wiper arm until you hear the release clip click into place.
