Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle.
  2. Remove the harness connector from the vehicle speed sensor (VSS).

    3. Object Number: 13640 Size: SH
  3. Remove the bolt.
  4. Remove the VSS and the O-ring seal.
  5. Inspect the seal and the transmission case. Replace the seal, if necessary.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 13640 Size: SH
  1. Install the VSS and the O-ring seal into the transmission.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  2. Install the bolt.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 11 N·m (97 lb in).

  3. Install the electrical connector to the speed sensor.
  4. Lower the vehicle.
