Makes 🢒 Geo 🢒 1997 🢒 Metro 🢒 Engine 🢒 Engine Controls - 1.0L 🢒 Fuel Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the fuel tank from the vehicle. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement.
  2. Remove the clamp and the fuel feed hose from fuel feed pipe on the fuel tank.
  3. Remove the clamp and the fuel return hose from fuel return pipe on the fuel tank.
  4. Remove the six screws and the fuel pump assembly from tank.
  5. Disconnect the two fuel pump lead wires from the fuel pump.
  6. Remove the screw and the fuel pump strainer from the fuel pump.
  7. Remove the screw and the fuel pump from the fuel pump assembly.

Installation Procedure
  1. Install the fuel pump to the fuel pump assembly and secure with one screw.

    2. Important: Always install a new fuel pump strainer when replacing the fuel pump.

  2. Install the fuel pump strainer to the fuel pump and secure with one screw.
  3. Connect the fuel pump lead wires to the fuel pump.
  4. Install the six screws and the fuel pump assembly to the fuel tank.
  5. Connect the fuel return hose to the fuel return pipe on the fuel tank and secure with one clamp.
  6. Connect the fuel feed hose to the fuel feed pipe on the fuel tank and secure with one clamp.
  7. Install the fuel tank to the vehicle. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement.
