For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Drive the vehicle for 24 km (15 miles) or until normal operating temperatures are reached.
  2. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
  3. Clean the leak area with solvent.
  4. Allow the leak area to air dry.

    Caution: Epoxy cement may cause skin irritations and eye damage. Read and follow all information on the container label as provided by the manufacturer.

  5. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations in order to mix a sufficient amount of epoxy cement GM P/N 1052533 or the equivalent.
  6. Use a clean, dry soldering acid brush in order to apply the epoxy cement when the transaxle case is hot.
  7. Allow the epoxy to cure for three hours before starting the engine.
  8. repeat the fluid leak diagnosis procedure in order to verify the repair.
