Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1578856 Size: SH

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the center console.
  3. Remove the circuit opening relay (1) electrical connector.
  4. Remove the one bolt and circuit opening from the I/P bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1578856 Size: SH
  1. Install the circuit opening relay to I/P bracket; secure with one bolt.

    2. Tighten
    Tighten the circuit opening relay bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the circuit opening relay electrical connector.
  3. Install the center console.
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the negative battery cable-to-negative battery cable terminal retainer to 15N·m (11 lb ft).
