  1. Start the engine and obtain normal operating temperature.
  2. Connect a scan tool to the DLC and select the engine RPM.
  3. Disconnect the throttle opener vacuum hose (1) at the throttle opener.
  4. Plug (2) the vacuum hose end.
  5. Maintain the engine speed at approximately 2 500 RPM.
  6. Release the throttle lever and make sure that the following conditions are met:
    7. • The throttle opener (3) is set.
    • The engine speed is 1 300-1 500 RPM with the radiator fan motor OFF.
  7. Replace the throttle opener if the condition are not met.

  8. Adjust the throttle opener (1) setting speed.
  9. Turn the adjusting screw (2) clockwise to increase the engine speed and counterclockwise to decrease the engine speed.
  10. Connect the vacuum hose to throttle opener.
