Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect accelerator cable from accelerator pedal lever.
  2. Remove the two bolts (3).
  3. Remove the accelerator pedal and the pedal lever from vehicle.
  4. Remove the one retainer, spring, pin and accelerator pedal from pedal lever.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the accelerator pedal to pedal lever; secure with one pin, spring and retainer.
  2. Connect the accelerator pedal and pedal lever to vehicle.

    3. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Secure with two bolts (3).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the accelerator pedal bracket bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Connect the accelerator cable to accelerator pedal lever.
