RATTLE NOISE AT IDLE WITH BRAKES APPLIES

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1985-88 "M" CAR ----------------- Some of the subject vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the area of the brake booster when the engine is idling and the brake applied. This condition is more common on vehicles equipped with automatic transmission and occurs only when the engine is cold. The repair is to replace the vacuum check valve at the booster using P/N 96057459 available from GMSPO. This part has been revised in order to prevent the check valve being agitated by the vacuum pulses present in the vacuum line to the booster at idle.
