HARD START BELOW 32 DEGREES (DIAG. AND NEW CALIBRATIONS)

SOME 1991 GEO STORMS WITH THE SOHC ENGINE (VIN CODE 6) MAY HAVE DIFFICULTY STARTING AT AMBIENTS BELOW 32 DEGREES F. SYMPTOMS MAY INCLUDE LONG CRANKING TIMES, START/STALL, UNSTABLE IDLES OR FAILURE TO START. IF NORMAL SERVICE PROCEDURES DO NOT CORRECT THE CONDITION, NEW CALIBRATIONS WITH IMPROVED COLD STARTABILITY HAVE BEEN RELEASED. WHEN USING THE TECH 1 TOOL AND EEPROM SERVICE CARTRIDGE, TK06030A AND DATE CARTRIDGE, TK06032 SELECT THE APPROPRIATE CALIBRATION NUMBER:

1.6L SOHC FEDERAL WITH AUTO TRANSMISSION - 16165819

1.6L SOHC FEDERAL WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION - 16165809.

THE ABOVE CALIBRATIONS MAY ALSO BE USED WITH CAMS.
