SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - SECTION 6D3 GENERATOR UNIT REPAIR,

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1992-93 "R" MODELS WITH 1.6L ENGINE VIN 6 (RPO L01)

APPLICATION:

----------- 1992-93 Geo Storm Models equipped with a VIN 6 1.6L engine (RPO L01)

This bulletin cancels and supersedes the following:

1. VIN 6 generator "Unit Repair" procedure on Page 6D3-4 of the 1992 Geo Storm Service Manual (ST371-92).

2. "Disassembly, Test and Reassembly - VIN 6" procedure on Page 6D3-5 of the 1993 Geo Storm Service Manual (ST371-93).

The generator on a 1992 or 1993 Geo Storm equipped with a VIN 6 engine is now serviceable.

o Whenever service is required to a 1992 Geo Storm equipped with a VIN 6 engine, use the "Generator - VIN 8" procedure on Page 6D3-6 of the 1992 Geo Storm Service Manual (ST371-92).

o Whenever service is required to a 1993 Geo Storm equipped with a VIN 6 engine, use the "Disassembly, Test and Reassembly - VIN 8" procedure on Page 6D3- 7 of the 1993 Geo Storm Service Manual (ST371-93).
