The 0.3 hours total allowance is to be entered in the "Others Hours" field. This entry will not require authorization.
** Replacement of the complete axle assembly is due to the incorrect rear axle shaft housing tube weld. Therefore, the 30% (1993 - V8871 & V8873) or 40% (1994 - V8872 & V8874) dealer net will be applied only to the cost of the rear axle shaft housing. This 30% or 40% allowance plus the full cost of the rear axle assembly and the cost of necessary fluids will appear in the net amount. Cost of the technician's travel time to and from the owner's location to reinspect previously replaced axle assemblies, alternate transportation or towing should be entered as a separate line using labor operation T2651.

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
