Tools required

1. Remove the manual transmission assembly from the vehicle. Refer to Transaxle Assembly Removal in Manual Transmission.
2. Remove the pressure plate and the clutch disc from the flywheel. Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement .



3. Remove the clutch pilot bearing (1) from the crankshaft using J 37764 and J 34848 .
4. Inspect the clutch pilot bearing (1) for scoring, binding or rough operation. Replace as necessary.

1. Install the clutch bearing into the crankshaft using the J 34848 with the J 7079-2 .
2. Install the clutch disc and the pressure plate to the flywheel (1). Refer to Clutch Assembly Replacement .
3. Install the manual transmission assembly into the vehicle. Refer to Transaxle Assembly Installation in Manual Transmission.
