SUBJECT: SERVICE MANUAL UPDATE - INSTALLING FRONT LICENSE PLATE

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1989 TRACKER

This information is to be added to page 2 of Section 2B.

This bulletin has been written to inform Dealer Technicians of the procedure for installing the front license plate on the 1989 Tracker.

Many Provinces do not require front license plates; therefore,the license plate mounting holes are not drilled through the attaching pad on the front facia. Use a drill diameter of 7/16" minimum to 1/2' maximum to drill the holes 1/8" above the dimples, located on the attaching pad on the front facia.

The expandable fastener supplied with the vehicle should be installed in the drilled holes and after the license plate attached, tighten to 1.9 Nm.
