SETTING CLOCK ON ETR AM-FM STEREO WITH SEEK AND SCAN

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1990 M, R CARS AND TRACKER VEHICLES

The directions for the ETR AM-FM Stereo with Seek and Scan described in Section 2C of the Owner's Manual do not apply. The proper operating procedures for the entire system are as follows:

ETR AM-FM STERO (SEEK/SCAN) --------------------------- TO PLAY THE RADIO ----------------- Push the power knob PWR/VOL to turn radio on; push again to turn off.

(It also goes off with ignition key.)

ADJUST VOLUME - The same knob adjusts the volume; turn right for more volume.

AM/FM SELECTION - Press AM/FM to receive AM or FM (the lighted display shows your selection momentarily).

SEEK - Press SEEK UP to go to the next station and stay there. (It will find another station each time you press it.) DOWN SEEK finds the next lower station.

SCAN - Press SCAN to sample each station for about five seconds; press again to stop and listen to something you like. NOTE: The display flash frequency and band during SCAN.

MANUAL TUNING - Press TUNE UP and hold to tune manually. (Radio tunes as long as pushbutton is held.) Press DOWN TUNE to tune down the band.

PUSHBUTTONS- There are five pushbuttons numbered 1 through 5. They help you return to your favorite stations. Set the pushbuttons as follows:

- Tune in the station you want.

- Press and hold one of the pushbuttons Eor longer than 2 seconds.

- NOTE: Audio mutes and then returns when the station is stored.

SETTING CLOCK - Press RCL and hold (with time showing on the display) and within five seconds, press DOWN TUNE until clock shows correct hours. Press and hold TUNE UP until clock shows correct minutes.

RECALL Press RCL to switch between time and frequency on the display.

DISPLAY PRIORITY - You may change display priority from time to frequency by pressing and holding RCL and within one second pressing SEEK UP. Repeat to change back.

STEREO - Stereo is received by tuning to any FM station broadcasting in stereo (ST is displayed in the graphic display).

TO ADJUST TONE - Rotate the TONE control clockwise to increase treble; counterclockwise rotation favors the bass. A detent gives the centre of rotation.

TO ADJUST SPEAKER - Turn FADE control (located behind the TONE knob) clockwise to favour the rear speakers. A detent gives the centre of rotation.
