THIS BULLETIN CANCELS AND SUPERSEDES DEALER SERVICE BULLETIN NO. 91-96-3E, DATED OCTOBER 1990. THE 1992 MODEL YEAR HAS BEEN ADDED. ALL COPIES OF 91-96-3E SHOULD BE DISCARDED.

Currently, 1991-1992 car models, U vans and T trucks are shipped to dealers with tire pressures from 241- 283 kPa (35-41 psi). Tire pressures are set higher at the assembly plant primarily to assure proper bead seating. These processing pressures may be higher than recommended pressures.

As part of the new car delivery process (NVI-PDI), tire pressures are to be adjusted to the recommended tire pressure, as specified on the tire placard, to reduce the possibility of a harsh ride condition. To assure customer satisfaction it is important that the tire pressures be properly adjusted before new car delivery.
