    Important: Torque sequence and specification is very important to valve body operation. If bolts are torqued at random, valve bores may become distorted and inhibit valve operation. DO NOT use air powered tools when assembling the valve bodies.

    Verify that all parts are clean and dry before assembly.

  1. Install the separator plate and new gasket to the lower valve body, temporarily install the two bolts.
  2. Important: Use caution when assembling the upper and lower valve bodies in order to prevent the check balls and springs from falling out of the lower valve body.

  3. Install the new upper valve body gasket to lower valve assembly.

  5. While holding the upper valve body gasket and lower valve body (1) together, install the assembly to the rear upper valve body assembly (2).
  6. Install the three bolts to the lower valve body.
  7. Turn the lower valve body assembly over and install the four bolts to the upper valve body side.
  8. Remove the two bolts temporarily installed in step 1.
  9. Install the lower valve body assembly to the front upper valve body.
  10. Install the three bolts to the lower valve body side.

  12. Turn the valve body assembly over and install the five bolts to the front upper valve body.
  13. Tighten

    • Tighten the upper body side bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
    • Tighten the lower valve body side bolts to 5 N·m (44 lb in).

  14. Install the following components to the valve body:
  15. • Detent spring plate (1)
    • Detent spring (2)
    • Manual valve (3)
    • Secure with one bolt.

    Tighten
    Tighten the detent spring bolt to 5 N·m (44 lb in).
