Removal Procedure
- Remove
the rear pillar trim panel.
- Remove the inflator nozzle retaining nut.
- Remove the inflator bezel.
- Remove the inflator switch from the bezel.
- Using a suitable flat bladed tool, press downward on the door lock switch
and rotate the top of the switch outward to disengage the switch from the trim panel.
- Remove the connector position assurance (CPA) pin and remove the electrical
connector from the switch.
- Remove
the lift gate sill plate. Refer to

- Remove the lock pillar trim panel. Refer to
Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement
.
- Firmly grasp and gently pull up on the body side panel tray to disengage
it from the body panel.
- Disconnect the 12 volt power supply electrical connector.
- Remove the inflator nozzle from the panel.
- Firmly
gasp and gently pull the front edge of the body panel to disengage the retaining
clips.
- Remove the right side body panel from the vehicle.
- Inspect and replace any missing or broken retaining clips.
Installation Procedure
- Install
the body panel to the vehicle.
- Align the retaining clips with he openings in the body and gently press
to fully seat the clips.
- Connect
the 12 volt power supply connector.
- Install the inflator nozzle into the body panel opening.
- Install the body side panel tray.
- Install the lock pillar trim panel. Refer to

.
- Install the lift gate sill plate. Refer to
Liftgate Door Sill Plate Replacement
.
- Connect
the electrical connector to the door lock switch and install the CPA.
- Install the door lock switch into the body panel.
- Install the inflator switch to the inflator bezel.
- Install the inflator bezel to the body panel.
- Install the inflator nozzle retaining nut.
- Install the rear pillar trim panel.
