When you open the hood on the VORTEC 6000 V8 engine you will see the following:

  2. Engine Air Cleaner/Filter. See Engine Air Cleaner/Filter .

  3. Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir. See Windshield Washer Fluid .

  4. Engine Oil Fill. See Engine Oil .

  5. Engine Oil Dipstick. See Engine Oil .

  6. Automatic Transmission Dipstick. See Automatic Transmission Fluid .

  7. Fan. See Cooling System and Engine Fan Noise .

  8. Remote Negative (-) Terminal (GND). See Jump Starting .

  9. Power Steering Fluid Reservoir (Out of View). See Power Steering Fluid .

  10. Remote Positive (+) Terminal. See Jump Starting .

  11. Brake Fluid Reservoir. See Brakes .

Before closing the hood, be sure all filler caps are on properly. Pull down the hood and close it firmly.
