Console Compartment Door Will Not Stay Closed (Replace Console Compartment Door Latch Assembly)

Some customers may comment that the console compartment door will not stay closed.

Replace the console compartment door latch assembly with P/N 88986341 using the procedure listed below.

Important: Whenever just the latch requires replacement, the latch can be replaced separately. Do not replace the following parts:

1. Open the console compartment door.
2. Remove the screws and console compartment door.
3. Remove the screws and inside panel from console compartment door.
4. Remove the screws and latch assembly.
5. Install the new latch assembly and screws.
6. Install the inside panel to the console compartment door and screws.
7. Install the console compartment door and screws.
8. Close the console compartment door.
