The rear axle on the HUMMER H2 includes an electrically locking differential. The differential actuator consists on a coil assembly and a lock assembly with springs and pins to lock the rear differential. The locking differential assembly is serviceable, and it is not necessary to replace the entire axle assembly if there is a concern with the differential.
