Headliner Sag (Install Fastener)

This bulletin is being revised to add a part number and remove part contact information. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 02-08-110-003 (Section 08 -- Body and Accessories).

Some customers may comment that the headliner sags just forward of the sunroof opening.

1. Remove the overhead console and the sunroof opening lace. Refer to SI Document ID #835630 for overhead console R&R.



2. Remove the two foam blocks from the sunroof gutter and the adhesive on the gutter from the foam blocks.
3. Apply hot melt glue, P/N 12377914 (in Canada, use Bostik® Thermogrip 6239) or equivalent, to the back side of the two hook and loop fasteners that have no adhesive on it and install it to the headliner. Refer to the above illustration for locations.
4. Clean the bottom of the sunroof with an alcohol-based cleaner.
5. Press the hook and loop to the sunroof above the hook and loop previously installed in step 3.
6. Install the overhead console and the sunroof opening lace.
