Subject:Headlamps Are Aimed Too High - alignment bulb lamp light

Models:.

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

Complaint is headlamps are aimed too high.

Recommendation/Instructions:

As a result of a number of H2 owners indicating that they are being flashed by oncoming drivers because of headlamp aim being too high, the following recommendation is being made as a supplement to the SI Headlamp Aim procedures and pertains to the H2 only. Use the Screen Method for headlamp aiming. After the screen with horizontal and vertical reference points has been established and the vehicle is parked 25 feet (7.62 m) from the screen, aim the headlamps to a point eight inches [8 in (20 cm)] below the horizontal line directly on the vertical lines. This will prevent oncoming drivers from being affected.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
