Service VME - Leaves in Air Intake Plenum Area - blower HVAC hose leak module moisture motor noise odor pan right side top water wet

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

If there is evidence of small leaves in the plenum area of the outside air intake, an excessive amount can result in one or more of the following conditions:

· A water leak through the HVAC module

· Blower motor noise

· And possibly an odor in the vehicle interior

Clean the plenum and air intake path and advise the customer of the potential for this occurring when parking under trees with small leaves. Alternative ways of preventing this are being evaluated.

Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed. If these steps do not resolve the condition, please contact GM TAC for further diagnostic assistance. This diagnostic approach was developed for the vehicle with the VIN you entered and should not be automatically be used for other vehicles with similar symptoms.
