Service VME - Roof Rack Cross Bar Wind Whistle Noise - kw chrome rub

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

If a wind whistle is heard coming from the roof area, one possible cause could be the roof rack cross bar. Apply tape along the entire length of both edges of the cross bar rub strip. If this eliminates the noise, replace the rub strip with 88962550 regardless of whether the cross bar is black or chrome. Installation efforts could be increased, use soapy water as a lubricant to ease assembly if necessary.
