Subject: Passenger Door Functions Inoperative and/or Service Tire Pressure Monitor Message

Models:.

When servicing the vehicle with the VIN you entered, the following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:

Owners may have a concern with all passenger door module functions and RKE inoperative. If the vehicle is equipped with the Tire Pressure Monitor System the Service Tire Pressure Monitor System Message will be displayed on the DIC. It may be noticed that the Tech 2 is unable to communicate with the Passenger Door Module (PDM). This could be caused by the PDM being logic locked.

Recommendation/Instructions:

To correct this concern, perform a refresh with the Tech 2. Currently, the Tech 2 software is not available for the 2004 model year. In the meantime, build the Tech 2 as a 2003 model year and perform a Refresh as per Bull 03-08-52-001C. After the PDM refresh is complete, all door functions will be restored and the Tech 2 will be able to communicate with the PDM. With communication restored, reprogram the PDM with the current calibration available in TIS2000.
