The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When replacing a height sensor on a 2003 or early built 2004 H2 Hummer, you may notice that there has been a design change to the connector location on the new height sensor. This will result in a concern where the harness will not have enough length for the connector to properly plug into the new height sensor.
Recommendation/Instructions:
When replacing the left or right height sensor on a 2003 or early built 2004 vehicle, you will need to also install a new jumper harness GM part number: 88964339.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
