Removal Procedure

  1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  2. Object Number: 801113  Size: SH
  3. Reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp (5) from the radiator (6).
  4. Remove the radiator inlet hose (4) from the radiator (6).
  5. Remove the fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .

  7. Reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) from the radiator (1).
  8. Remove the radiator outlet hose (3) from the radiator (1).

  9. Object Number: 801111  Size: SH
  10. Reposition the surge tank inlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  11. Remove the surge tank inlet hose (1) from the radiator.

  12. Object Number: 801115  Size: SH
  13. Reposition the radiator vent inlet hose clamp from the radiator.
  14. Remove the radiator vent inlet hose (2) from the radiator.
  15. Remove the engine oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting .
  16. Remove the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .

  18. Remove the radiator bolts (3) from the radiator (2).
  19. Remove the radiator (2) from the vehicle (1).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 801114  Size: SH
  1. Install the radiator (2) to the vehicle (1).
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the radiator bolts (3) to the radiator (2).
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install the engine oil cooler lines to the radiator. Refer to Engine Oil Cooler Pipe/Hose Quick Connect Fitting .
  6. Install the transmission oil cooler lines to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .

  8. Install the radiator vent inlet hose (2) to the radiator.
  9. Position the radiator vent inlet hose clamp to the radiator.
  10. Install the surge tank inlet hose (1) to the radiator.

  11. Object Number: 801111  Size: SH
  12. Position the surge tank inlet hose clamp to the radiator.

  13. Object Number: 801112  Size: SH
  14. Install the radiator outlet hose (3) to the radiator (1).
  15. Position the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) to the radiator (1).
  16. Install the fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement .

  17. Object Number: 801113  Size: SH
  18. Install the radiator inlet hose (4) to the radiator (6).
  19. Position the radiator inlet hose clamp (5) to the radiator (6).
  20. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
