The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in the PI.
Condition/Concern:
Some customers may state that the Express Open Feature of the Sunroof is inoperative. The customer will state that all of the other functions of the sunroof will work correctly.
Recommendation/Instructions:
Early built 2005 H2 Hummers equipped with sunroof option CF5 do not have the Express Open Feature. The Express Open Feature was included in 2005 H2 Hummers that have a build date of 10/01/04 or greater. If you have a vehicle that was built before 10/01/04, please do not replace any parts to try to correct the Express Open Feature, as this is the normal operation of the vehicle.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
