Admin Message - 2005-2006 HUMMER H2 Rear Spare Tire Carrier Tether Locking Pin

The rear spare tire carrier on the H2 is equipped with a tether cable and a locking "T" pin. The "T" pin contains a plunger that must be depressed to allow removal of the pin. In cold temperatures, the plunger can freeze due to a lack of lubrication. As a precautionary measure, apply Lubriplate Lubricant (GM P/N 12346293) liberally to the "T" pin plunger and the release bearings to prevent freeze-up.
