Circuit / System Description

The infra red (IR) sensors for this system are on the lower edge of each display screen and on the forward facing portion of the earpiece of each set of headphones. For optimum IR transmission, remove any obstacles between the headphones and the display screens. IR transmission can be degraded during conditions of direct sunlight inside the vehicle.

Diagnostic Aids

The display screens in this system are wired exactly the same. In the event that one display has questionable operation, the screens can be swapped in their position to test for a display component failure or a circuit failure.
