1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement .

Steering Linkage Shock Absorber Ball Stud Nut

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tip

Tighten
40 N·m (30 lb ft)

Shock Absorber Mounting Nut/Bolt

Tip
Do not reuse the bolt or nut.

Tighten
40 N·m (30 lb ft)

Steering Damper

Tip
During installation use J 29193 to tighten the steering linkage installer in order to seat the ball stud into the relay rod.

Tighten
32 N·m (24 lb ft)
