Preliminary Procedure

1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
2. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement .

Inflatable Restraint Front End Discriminating Sensor - Right

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Procedure

1. Disconnect the electrical connection.
2. Loosen the front end discriminating sensor bolt. (Qty: 1)
3. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

Tip
The bolt is an integral part of the sensor and should remain with the sensor.

Tighten
10 N·m (89 lb in)
