Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Remove the catalytic converter guard. Refer to Catalytic Converter Guard Replacement.
  3. Remove the transfer case shield. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement.
  4. Support the transmission with a suitable stand or jack.

    5. Object Number: 647997 Size: SH
  5. Remove the nuts retaining the transmission mount to the transmission support.
  6. Raise the transmission.

    7. Object Number: 794684 Size: SH
  7. Remove the bolts and the nuts retaining the transmission support to the frame.
  8. Remove the transmission support from the frame.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 794684 Size: SH
  1. Install the transmission support to the frame.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

    Important: Ensure that the transmission support fasteners do not overlap before and after final tightening.

  2. Install the bolts and the nuts in order to retain the transmission support to the frame.

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 95 N·m (70 lb ft).

  3. Lower the transmission.

  4. Align the transmission mount with the transmission support.
  5. Install the nuts to the transmission mount.

    6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 40 N·m (30 lb ft).

  6. Remove the stand or jack.
  7. Install the transfer case shield. Refer to Transfer Case Shield Replacement.
  8. Install the catalytic converter guard. Refer to Catalytic Converter Guard Replacement.
  9. Lower the vehicle.
