Preliminary Procedure Disconnect the steering shaft coupling from the upper intermediate steering shaft. Refer to Steering Shaft Coupling Replacement .
1	Steering Column Seal Nut (Qty: 3) Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section. Tighten 3 N·m (27 lb in)
2	Steering Column Seal Tip A small amount of lubricant in the steering column seal may aid with installation.

Steering Column Seal Nut (Qty: 3)

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

Tighten
3 N·m (27 lb in)
