The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.

Condition/Concern:

Customers may comment about a discolored or stained appearance on their H2 Accessories Chrome Brush Grille Guard (P/N 17801174). This may be most noticeable at the welds and drain hole locations of this product. These stains may be the result of residual fluid that has not fully escaped from this product during the chroming process and may appear after the product has already been installed on a customer's vehicle.

Although the supplier of this product is currently working to reduce or possibly eliminate the potential for this to occur, GM recommends the use of a standard chrome cleaner to resolve such issues in the field.

Recommendation/Instructions:

H2 Accessories Chrome Brush Grille Guards that have this condition should not be replaced under warranty.

Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
