Removal Procedure
  1. Open the hood.
  2. Mark the hood latch location on the hood latch support (1) with a grease pencil.

    3. Object Number: 820669 Size: SH
  3. Remove the fasteners (2) from the latch.

    4. Note: Do not crimp the hood latch release cable.

  4. Disconnect the hood latch release cable from the hood latch by squeezing the hood release cable retainer (3).
  5. Remove the hood latch from the hood latch support bracket.

Installation Procedure

    Note: The hood latch release cable must be connected to the hood latch support bracket.

  1. Install the hood latch release cable to the hood latch.

    2. Object Number: 820669 Size: SH
  2. Align the hood latch to the grease pencil marks on the hood latch support bracket.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Install the fasteners (2) to the hood latch.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the hood latch fasteners to 9 N·m (7 lb ft).
